The Bridge
Wandering around more remote areas of the city is alike to unveiling mystery. In this post- industrial corner of my town, vast in history, many interresting buildings can be found.
An island living it` s primary life as the birthplace of, not only Poznań city, but also of the very Christianity in Poland with it` s medival-dating cathedral reigning supreme over the landscape. On the reverse side of Ostrów Tumski not-to-miss locations many silent and seemingly abandoned sites are hiding in plain sight.
The manifold bridges connecting the island to the main body of the city, being a remain
of an infrastructure linked to a dormant powerplant, took my imagination elsewhere. Multiple drawings were done under conditions that couldn` t be stated other than harsh, including bellow zero temperatures. All paintings are a result of studio work based upon live drawings with the triptich depicting an imaginary, never-witnessed in real life view.
Protect your hands dear painter.
